High-tech treasure hunt, adventure, enigmas:
The last Indiana Jones? No! It’s Géocaching at Stoneham!
The best days of summer are still ahead and the Stoneham Mountain Resort invites you to try out this summer’s hottest adventure: geocaching! The resort has created and adapted and accessible version of this global high-tech treasure hunt, which even includes equipment and training. Decked across the mountain, 5 different trails (from Very Easy to Very Difficult) await the adventurers. The challenge, which can take from 1 to 3 hours to achieve, is very popular for family and office outings. Come try it!
74 hide-outs: you have to find the 1st one first!
At the beginning, each player is handed the coordinates to a first hide-out. Then, armed with a GPS, they can use the global positioning system to locate themselves and the hide-out, which will be hidden in the environment. The type, size and location of the hide-out can vary: it can be perched (ex.: in a tree) or lay low (ex.: under a rock). Each trail will lead you to many hide-outs, which in return will allow you to cumulate clues. The ultimate hide-out, which contains a treasure and a log book, also contains the last clue to solving an enigma! It is now possible to book a night time adventure, and even a winter one, when more than 25 hide-outs are hidden along different paths...
An affordable group activity!
Our geocaching adventures take place every day, between 10am and 3pm, and it is recommended that you call ahead to book your spot. To take part in this adventure, the cost is only $10 per person (taxes not included). A family rate is available (2 adults and 2 kids 12 years or younger) at $27 and group rate are also offered.
