The 12 hour Leucan Ski Challenge started in 2006 in honnor of the little Edgar Sirhan-Gibson, that passed away at 18 month because of cancer. For the seven last months of his life, Edgar fought with this strong sickness, because he didn’t have a strong enough imunitary system. Last year, the 12 hour Leucan Ski Challenge happened on three mountains simultaneously, which were Ski Bromont in Monteregy area, Ski Chanteclers in the Laurentides area and Stoneham Mountain Resort in Quebec. $350 000 was raised by the three resorts. In 2008, $167 000 was raised for Leucan in the occasion of the event that only took place in Bromont.
